Cambodia Knits started over a decade ago as a small passion project with an aim to provide supplementary, home-based economic opportunities to women.  They produce beautiful, high quality and unique hand-made products while providing fair and flexible employment opportunities. Once trained, all participants have the opportunity to produce CK products at piece rates.
WCF funds will be used for the purpose of training relocated groups in Siem Reap. Since November 2022, thousands of families are being relocated to an area outside of Run Ta Ek Community based tourism site because their  homes and communities were deemed to be too close to the UNESCO World Heritage temples. About 45 trainees will learn the foundation skills in crochet and some knitting to produce a range of CK products, earning $50-70 a month.
