Welcome to Women's International Group - Cambodia
We are an active group who bring a diversity of resources and experiences together for social, cultural and educational enhancement. We raise funds and donate these via grants to worthy community projects in Cambodia.
Our group is also very much about socialising and having fun. Throughout the year we organise numerous activities and events that any member can join in with. To find out more about our social events please visit our Facebook group at Women's International Group (WIG) Phnom Penh. If you are interested in joining please visit the Join Us page on this website.
The Christmas Fair is a popular Phnom Penh event and is our most important fundraiser. It also provides a wonderful opportunity to promote our work.
Our 2017 Fair held at CIS was a huge success. We are looking forward to this year's event.
We would like to thank all the volunteers and vendors from 2017. We would like to say a special thank-you to the students and teachers from NISC and CLEW, and CIS for hosting us at their school. Everyone worked incredibly hard to ensure the day ran as smoothly as possible.
STAY TUNED - As information about the 2018 Fair becomes available we will post to our Christmas Fair webpage
Here is our social calendar for February and March. Get involved, meet some great people and please feel free to get in touch for more information...
The Best Things
One of the best things about belonging to WIG is when we get to hand over a cheque to wonderful organisations like the Cambodian Organization for Living and Temporary Care (COLT) - who will use the money to build a Septic Tank at their center. Well done COLT - pictured here Ally presents a $2000 check to Noah and Aga, and they presented this fabulous picture to WIG - drawn by the children at COLT
Executive Election and AGM
We have recently elected our new Executive Committee for 2018. Thank you to everyone who was nominated, and to everyone who joined us for the AGM.
To find out more about our ExCom, please contact the WIG secretary on firstname.lastname@example.org or come and talk to our members at our Weekly Chatterbox sessions held upstairs at Java Cafe every Thursday from 9.30am.
