Who We Are

Founded in 1994 by a group of expat women in Phnom Penh seeking connection and community, the Women’s International Group (WIG) has grown into a vibrant, multicultural network of women from over 35 countries — including Cambodia. We unite cultures, languages, and generations in a spirit of friendship and social responsibility.

What We Do

WIG is more than just a social group. We offer regular meetups — from cultural outings and crafts to sports and our much-loved weekly Coffee Chats — to create connection and support among members. But at the heart of WIG is a deeper mission: to give back to Cambodia, our host country.

Each year, we organize Phnom Penh’s most anticipated holiday event: the WIG Christmas Fair. This festive celebration is not only a joyful gathering for the community, but also a major fundraiser for our WIG Community Fund. Since 2016, we’ve raised over $329,680, funding 117 local projects led by grassroots NGOs that focus on education, health, empowerment, and dignity.

Through 12 editions of the Christmas Fair (excluding 2020 due to COVID-19), WIG has proudly become a trusted partner to small NGOs making a big difference across Cambodia.
