Support Cambodian Displaced Families

Three missions. Three camps. One commitment. One chain of compassion

Overview

When families were displaced by the conflict along Cambodia’s northern border, the Women’s International Group (WIG) responded with compassion and a commitment to help. Since then, WIG has completed three humanitarian missions to the border communities in Preah Vihear Province, working alongside members, donors, partners, volunteers, and local authorities to provide essential support.

Each mission addressed the evolving needs of displaced families through emergency relief, household essentials, educational support, and community-focused initiatives. Our mission has remained the same: to stand beside families with compassion, dignity, and hope.

These efforts were made possible through the generosity of our members, donors, friends, partners, and volunteers. We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to Her Majesty Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk for her generous contribution in support of our third humanitarian mission.

We invite you to journey through our three missions and discover what compassion and solidarity made possible — bringing much-needed relief and reminding displaced families that they were not forgotten.

OUR JOURNEY

Mission One: Answering the Call

(August 2025)

In August 2025, as conflict along Cambodia’s northern border displaced families from their homes, the Women’s International Group (WIG) launched its first Border Relief Mission. During a time of uncertainty, WIG members, donors, volunteers, friends and community supporters came together to provide immediate humanitarian assistance to families seeking safety in temporary shelters.

Working alongside local authorities and community members, WIG delivered essential relief packages to 300 families, helping to meet their most urgent daily needs with food, hygiene products, baby formula, medicines, and other essential supplies.

Mission Three: Lasting Legacy
(June 2026)

This mission was made possible in large part through the generous contribution of Her Majesty Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, whose support helped WIG provide assistance to 400 families

In June 2026, the Women’s International Group (WIG) returned to Preah Vihear Province for its third Border Relief Mission, reaffirming our commitment to families who continued to face the challenges of displacement.

This third mission marked an important chapter in WIG’s Border Relief efforts. Through our three visits to Preah Vihear, we strengthened our connection with the communities and continued to respond to their changing needs, made possible by the generosity of everyone who supported us.
